Andy Cormann – didgeridoo _ yirdaki

Over the years, Andy Cormann created his own style which is characterized mainly by the rapid percussive use of the instrument coupled with a polyphonic and polyrhythmic sound development, away from the esoteric Grundtoneinheitsgebrumme.
His teachers include world-renowned players. He studied under Djalu Gurruwiwi, Milkay M * n * nng * rr * and Sven Molder.
In the years of intense study of various traditional styles of the North East Arnhem Land Yolngu he adapted traditional techniques to make them part of his own music. His versatile playing takes place in various projects, bands and collaborations. Here, the musical spectrum ranges from working with African drummers to the accompaniment of DJs in the areas of drum & bass, dubstep, reggae, dancehall, electro, techno, house.
